After graduating from University I worked as a games developer for Plug-in Media, a BAFTA-winning digital media production company based in Brighton, UK. I worked on children’s iOS, Android and web games for clients including Nickelodeon and CBBC. Predominately coding in C# using Unity or scripting in Javascript. On this page, you can find the projects I worked on during my time there.
Shimmer and Shine: Magical Genie Games

Responsibilities included:
Developing the initial prototype with the core functionality and features of the game in accordance with the Game Design Document
Responding to client feedback, using an iterative design approach to produce the final game
Liaising with the art team to integrate 2D and 3D art and animation into game

Paw Patrol Pups Take Flight

My involvement: The game has released a number of updates since the original (which was developed before I joined the company). I was responsible for a number of tasks on the updates including:
Christmas update: Integrated the new festive themed levels and coded the new power ups.
Underwater update: Developed the underwater based levels of the game.
Integrated Helpshift SDK (a customer support platform accessible from within the app).
Bug fixing, localisation fixes and optimization.
Tee and Mo Picnic Time
About: Commissioned by CBeebies, Picnic Time is an interactive suite of simple games for young children.

I worked independently as the developer on this project. The game was developed using BBC's custom game engine which involved using YAML to define the interactions for each 6 of the mini games.
